Adams 14 is thrilled to welcome its 7,500 students back for the 2018/19 school year! As the school buses warmed up for departure, Dr. Abrego kicked off a fun-filled morning of first day of school activities, starting with Adams 14 Transportation Department.
Did you know that the district operates 32 buses that transport 3,500 students to and from school each day? With more than 300 years of collective experience, the Transportation Department's team is devoted to the safety of our students by conducting a 118-point safety inspection on every bus each morning before departure!
The halls of Adams City High School were filled with anticipation and excitement over the start of the school year. Dr. Abrego, along with Board of Education members Sen. Dominick Moreno and Dr. Bill Hyde, greeted students and staff on the first day of school.
Next stop was a warm welcome at Alsup Elementary, where students were delighted with a visit from Dr. Abrego over breakfast! Adams 14’s Nutritional Services Department is proud to provide breakfast in the classroom to all students across the district. Board of Education members Sen. Moreno and Mr. David Rolla joined the superintendent to greet staff, students and parents.
Thank you for choosing Adams 14! We hope everyone has an incredible first day of school, and we look forward to all the learning and exploration ahead of us this year.
