Volunteer in Adams 14
Adams 14 welcomes volunteers in its schools. We provide a variety of choices for the type of work our volunteers do. Volunteering in Adams 14 gives you a prime opportunity to see the great things happening in our schools each day.
To enroll in the volunteer program, simply contact the office at your neighborhood school to fill out the required forms. If you have questions about opportunities to get involved at your neighborhood school, you may also contact the school's parent group and/or principal.

Senior Tax Rebate Volunteer Program
All senior citizens (over the age of 60) who reside in the school district boundaries are eligible for the Senior Tax Rebate Volunteer Program. Throughout the school year, a senior citizen may work up to 65 hours volunteering for Adams 14 at the rate of $5.38 per hour. In return for their service, senior citizens will receive a reimbursement from the county for their property taxes.
Enrolling in the program is quite simple: first, give us a call; we send out the enrollment form, which senior citizens complete and return with a copy of their most recent property tax statement; then we line up volunteers with work that suits their needs.
Volunteers in Adams 14 fulfill many needs; for example, some volunteers tutor and read with students, while others are greeters or work outside beautifying the school grounds. The requirements are:
- You must be age 60 and above
- You must be a resident of Adams 14 - check your property tax statement to determine whether your taxes go to Adams 14
Please contact Karen Colato at kcchavez@adams14.org for questions about the program.
