What Parents and Students Need to Know About the Updated Cell Phone Policy 2026-2027

Learn More About the Cell Phone Policy for 2026-2027

The updated policy provides clearer expectations for when students may use personal technology devices (PTDs) during the school day.

  • Elementary & Middle School (K–8): Phones and other personal devices must be turned off or set to silent and kept out of sight throughout the school day.
  • High School (9–12): Devices are not permitted during class or other academic settings but may be used during lunch, passing periods, and open periods.
  • Parents who need to reach their child during the school day should contact the school office by phone, email, or a district-approved communication app.
  • If a device is confiscated for violating the policy, parents will be notified by the principal or designee.

These updates create consistent expectations across schools, reduce classroom distractions, and support student learning while maintaining a way for families to communicate when needed.
