NEW JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

JUSTIFICATION

Current capacity and cost to maintain Adams City Middle School and Kearney Middle School far exceeds the cost of replacing the two buildings with a single building.  This project will provide for the near and distant future needs of Adams 14 students by providing a modern, safe, warm and dry school capable of educating students using the newest technology and resources.  By the time of the planned opening, Adams 14 will be serving approximately 750 students in the Junior High setting.

DESCRIPTION

The new facility will serve up to 750 students in grades 7 and 8 and will be designated as the districts Junior High School.  It is intended to meet all current district standards for technology, supporting a full range of program needs aligned with the Academies at the High School.
