The Academy of Health Science and Human Services (HS & HS)

About
The HS & HS Academy offers amazing opportunities for those who have a passion for helping others. In the Health Science Pathway students take part in interactive learning experiences across many in-demand fields. This pathway is rigorous, yet rewarding, as students leave with several certifications to guide them into the future. The Human Services pathway, while encompassing many elements, has a strong focus on building future educators. With a, “Grow Our Own,” motto, we hope to train and recruit from within.
Health Science
The Health Science pathway for students considering a career in the healthcare field. This includes areas such as medicine (nursing, medical doctor, etc.), preventative medicine (chiropractic, osteopathy, nutrition, etc.), and allied health care fields (dentistry, optometry, podiatry). Students take a variety of health-related classes throughout their high school career which are specifically designed to be engaging and relevant. The program is rigorous and is designed for those who are ready to make a difference. Students have the opportunity to earn several certifications while in school such as First Aid, CPR, and PCT. Students can leave school ready to work or go on to a 2-year, 4-year, and/or graduate degree program.
