Musical programs at a couple of schools in Adams County are getting a financial shot in the arm, thanks to a nationwide giving campaign.

Monaco Elementary in Commerce City and the Studio School in Northglenn were among 73 schools around the nation to win grants from the “GLEE Give a Note Program.” The schools won $25,000 and $10,000 respectively, money that can be used to buy new instruments, fix up old ones and help pay for field trips to musical performances, among other things.
