New Videos on the Teacher Resource Center
As a teacher, I often found it easier to learn new strategies when I was able to see those strategies in action. Some of my best professional development came from other teachers who were implementing best practices in their classrooms.
Last week I promised that two new videos would be posted at the Teacher Resource Center today. They are ready for your viewing. First, Adams City High School math teacher (and ACHS graduate) Tom Deaguero shows us how he anchors his classroom by implementing Teach for Success practices.

The second video features ACHS English teacher Mary Davenport, who discusses her use of content objectives to focus students on the day's lesson.

In both cases, the teachers follow the I Do, We Do process prior to moving the students to independent practice. By following these steps, teachers are able to identify which students need more help during independent work time.
We hope you find these videos (located on the Instructional Cycle page of the Teacher Resource Center) to be useful tools to inform your classroom instruction. Look for more Teacher Resource Center video updates coming this school year.
