2. How long will my application remain active? Your application is for the individual position which is currently open. When that position is closed your application will remain active for a period of three months. To keep your application active you should update your application either by applying for a new open position or reviewing your application and submitting it at the end of the application. 3. For which positions do I use the online application process? Use the online application process to apply for any position which is currently available. If no positions are available you may submit an application waiting for a position to become available. However, you must apply for individual positions as they open. 4. What documents are necessary to complete my application file? Only licensed and administrative positions require further documentation to be sent to the District. 5. If I have already submitted an application through the Colorado Department of Education or another school district, should I still submit an application using Adams 14's online application process? 6. Am I required to provide information regarding student teaching if I am an experienced teacher? If your student teaching experience is within the past five years, or if longer than five years and you do not have any contract teaching experience, you will need to list your student teaching experience. 8. Can I obtain and complete a paper application and submit it for employment with Adams 14? Adams 14 only accepts applications online. We have a computer available at Adams 14 Educational Support Services, or you can utilize a computer at your local library. 9. How do I know what type of application to complete for a position in which I am interested? If you have a question about which application is appropriate for individual positions, please look at our website for current available positions or contact our Human Resources Office at 303.853.3201. 10. Can I submit an online application without specifying a position? During the application process you will be asked to apply for a position that is currently open. If there are no positions that you are interesed in you can select the option that notifies us that you are currently waiting for a position to open. 11. Is it necessary to complete an application if I have worked for the District in the past? Yes. It is required that you fill out an application even if you have worked for the District previously. [Back to Top]
12. What happens to applications once Human Resources receives them? If you have provided an email address, you will receive a confirmation email from Human Resources once an application has been submitted. It is not necessary to contact the Human Resources office regarding the status of an application. 13. How do I apply for positions in the different classifications such as licensed, classified/support and technical, administrative, or coaching/supplemental? The applications for each classification are different; therefore, you will need to complete a separate application if you want to be considered for positions in multiple classifications. 14. Do I have to include a letter of intent when applying for a position? A letter of intent is not required. However, you can submit a letter of intent and it will be included with your application materials. [Back to Top]
15. Should an applicant contact the school principal or hiring supervisor? Applicants should not contact principals by phone. If an applicant is interested in a particular school or position, they should send a cover letter and resume to the principal or hiring supervisor. When going through the hiring process, the principal or hiring supervisor will have electronic access to your application and all documents you have submitted with your application.
