The Adams 14 Board of Education is the policy-making body of the District. The Board governs the education of students and the operations of the District within limitations set by the state of Colorado. The Board is composed of five members elected by registered voters of the District. Elections are every two years. Board members are elected at-large and serve four-year terms as volunteers. After the election, Board members elect their own officers.
When the community, students and staff are involved, all students do learn and succeed.
Citizens are invited to attend Board of Education meetings and be involved in improving our schools. Regular board meetings always allow time for citizens' comments.
Public meetings are the second and fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of the second Tuesday of July and the fourth Tuesday of December. The first regular meeting of the month begins at 6:30 p.m., unless noted otherwise. The last meeting of the month begins with a study session at 5:30 p.m. followed by the regular 6:30 p.m. meeting. Additional tentative Special and/or Study Sessions may be scheduled and posted at the entrance of the administration building. All meetings take place in the Board of Education Room, Adams 14 Educational Support Services, 5291 East 60th Avenue, Commerce City, CO, unless posted otherwise.
