Adams County School District 14 provides health, dental, vision, and life insurances for all administrative employees. Administrative employees are provided a flex benefit of $779.84 per month/$9,358.08 per year to be used toward insurances.
Adams County School District 14 is a participant of the Public Employees' Retirement Association. This is a mandatory participation for employees of the district. The employee will contribute 8% of their gross earnings and the district will contribute 15.2%. As participants in PERA, we do not participate in Social Security.
Sick leave is granted by the district to all administrative employees at a rate based on the number of contract days per year, not to exceed fourteen (14) days per full contract year. Sick leave is cumulative without limit from year to year and upon separation from the district after fifteen (10) years, the employee is paid $30 per day of accumulated sick leave.
Vacation leave is granted by the district to all twelve-month administrators at the rate of 20 days initially, with an additional day every year thereafter, not to exceed thirty (30) days.
Administrative employees are entitled to three (3) personal leave days per year. These days may used for personal family matters, legal matters, etc. These days are charged against an employee's sick days.
Administrative employees are entitled to five (5) days of bereavement leave in the event of a death in the immediate family. The first three days shall be at full pay, and the remaining two days will be charged to employee's available sick leave.
